We are destroying different organism's habitats to use the area for our own wants. Us humans mostly destroy habitats for agriculture and forestry. But, we also destroy habitats for construction and building houses. All organisms need a habitat, but we are choosing that we need it more for our wants. With us taking organism's habitats, we should at least leave them alone and stay away from them but, we do not for some reason. Some other ways that we could protect organism's habitats are to write a letter to your city telling them to leave space for wildlife. Another way is to donate money to wildlife reserves that keep animals safe.

Producing Too Much Waste
We produce too much waste to live in a sustainable matter. We should recycle or compost instead of throwing everything in the garbage. Did you know that Edmonton has one of the largest stainless steel composting facilities in the world? It supposedly will take about 80% of the household waste from the dumps within the next few years. Some other ways that you can reduce the amount of waste you produce would be to buy less packaged or bulk products. You could also reuse certain products for different things. Such as using a refrigerator box for storing for storing some food products.

Burning Natural Resources
We rely way to much on things that burn natural resources. With us burning all of our fossil fuels, we release CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) into the air. Also, fossil fuels take millions of years to form and, once they are gone, we will not be able to get them back. Did you know that in U.S.A, over 90% of greenhouse gases come from the burninmg of fossil fuels? Some different fossil fuels are oil, gasoline, and coal. One of the main reasons fossil fuels are to fulfill peoples wants, when we don't need wants, we need needs. Also fossil fuels are burned to make life easier, such as gasoline for cars when you could just walk. One more way to reduce the amount of fossil fuels is put on a hoody instead of turning up the heat.
